One of our participating
teachers (thank you, Barb Bolte) has put together an excellent set of lesson
plans for use with Project: Big Mac. We are delighted to post the Word document
here for other teachers to download!

How can I
use this project?
Project Big Mac is designed to introduce your students to a global economy and
world geography. This project and its results can provide a basis or supplement
for lessons on any of the following areas of study (and probably others as well):
| Discipline: | Topics: | |
| Math | Statistical Analysis | Mean, median, and mode |
| Random samplings and reliability | ||
| Conversions | Currency exchange rates | |
| Social Studies | Economics | Standard of living |
| Cost of living | ||
| Value of Currency | Purchasing-power parity | |
| Economic indicators | ||
| Geography | Where are these places? | |
| What are their currencies? | ||
| Political Science | Americanization | |
| Globalization | ||
Hopefully these give you some ideas for the potential applications of this study. The possibilities really are limitless.
